The gauge measures static water pressure at a specific point in your system—typically at an outdoor spigot or near the main shutoff valve.
You simply screw the gauge onto a threaded faucet or hose bib, turn on the water, and observe the reading.
Too low (< 40 psi): Possible leak, undersized pipes, or malfunctioning pressure regulator. Too high (> 80 psi): Could stress pipes and fixtures, often caused by faulty pressure-reducing valves or thermal expansion.

It only gives a snapshot of momentary pressure.
You must be present to read it—no automated monitoring.
